At our last Business Design and Innovation Circle Meetup we discussed the future of work and the impact of crowdsourcing. I have had first hand experience in offshoring via eLance.com and have been very impressed with the benefits. This will be the true impact of globalisation - exporting jobs from rich countries to poor - and will be felt hardest across knoweldge workers over the coming years, unlike the last few decades where traditional blue collar workers felt the real pressure.
This has the real potential to shift society, much like the industrial revolution, and I read this warning in recent works from the likes of Seth Godin... Do you know anyone really paying attention to this trend (?) AND preparing how they will adapt to this (r)evolution in business design?
